Instructions for Use

PLEASE NOTE: The first time you use the Rosemary 2-in-1 Shampoo you MUST do 3 shampoos to get a lather and remove build-up, thereafter just 2 shampoos per wash. Allow 2 week trial.  Rosemary Essential oil has a camphor constituent, therefore to avoid the effect of  steam strengthening the camphor smell , do not wash hair in a small closed- in enviroment ie. over a basin or sink &/or with towel over head.

1. Gently shake the bottle from side to side to release the sediment that settles on the bottom – be aware that if shaken for a long time, the product may burst out when you push the disc top open. 
2. Press the disc top to open and apply product directly to the hair using a “double-action salt shake movement” (quickly up and down like when you shake salt onto your meal)
3. Massage into scalp and hair then rinse.
4. Repeat.
5. Usually there is no need for conditioner, as this product is pH balanced both cleanses and conditions your hair as it dries.
6. After 2 week trial if you still feel crisp when hair is dry, you can use our appropriate Leave-In Conditioner to suit you – Rosemary for slightly dry , Lavender for extremely dry and tangled.

To prevent build-up and avoid scalp problems  (ie. including  combination of sweat, oil and dirt), please wash your hair at least twice per week.  

How Much Product Should I use?

SHORT HAIR: 1 double action salt shake directly onto 4 cross sections of your head.
MEDIUM: as above, but do more shakes onto the lengths of your hair. eg: Shoulder length: 6
LONG HAIR: as above, but do more shakes onto the lengths of your hair. eg: Midback: 7, Waist: 8

PLEASE NOTE:  Do not worry about waste of product when you do a salt shake – it is a controlled lid dispenser that limits the amount of product expelled. 

NO WASTE HINT:

Consider decanting the 500ml bottle into the 200ml bottle as it has smaller lid holes and decants a smaller amount of product per “salt shake.” A 200ml bottle will last approximately 8 weeks on short hair. 

PRIOR TO COLOURING HAIR

Do not use any conditioning shampoos on day of colouring your hair including our Gypsy Rose. The conditioning affect will stop the colour from penetrating hair shaft. If you are using Gypsy Rose  2-in-1 shampoo then on the day or day before you are due for a colour, use a normal non-conditioning shampoo. Gypsy Rose  2-in-1 shampoo is ok to shampoo out the colour after processing time, in turn pH balancing your scalp and hair.

 

PLEASE NOTE: This is a CONCENTRATED FORMULA due to the orange, lime and lemon essential oils – Keep out of the reach of children –  May cause allergic reactions, please seek medical advice. You can add extra filtered water to weaken the strength and scent.

As a Hairspray/Hairstyler

1. To get the full benefit of citrus scents and distribution of the whole formula you must continue to shake immediately before every spray.
2. Shake and spray 1 light mist layer over head. 
3. WAIT 30 seconds in between layers to seal over and dry. 
4. Repeat for a firmer hold. 
   To check firmness – wait 30 seconds and then lightly place your open palm on hair to feel if it is firm enough (you should feel a veil/web type effect)
5. No need to wash out the next day, if need be, simply repeat the restyle again daily.

As a Quickset – no blowdry needed

1. To get the full benefit of citrus scents and distribution of the whole formula you must continue to shake immediately before every spray.
2. On clean towel dried/damp hair spray thoroughly all through hair roots to ends (minimum 6 sprays) Don’t hesitate in spraying too much as it is water-based and very forgiving. 
3. Style as usual with your comb or brush. 
4. Leave your hair to dry naturally in place until it feels dry/stiff.
5. Restyle as usual with your comb or brush for a blow dried look with volume. 
6. You can then use the product as hairspray and/or texturiser to finish style. 
7. No need to wash out the next day, if need be, simply repeat the restyle again daily.

As a Texturiser (replaces mousse or gel)

1. To get the full benefit of citrus scents and distribution of the whole formula you must continue to shake immediately before every spray.
2. Spray close on dry hair.
3. FOR A STYLE WITH HEIGHT: Lifting hair midlengths, ends and roots up as you spray through hair.
4. FOR A STYLE WITH WAVE AND CURL: Spray product close to desired area, moistening hair and then use fingers to separate or scrunch the area.
5. FOR A STRAIGHT STYLE:  Please use our ‘All Round Body Top to Toe’ or ‘Leave-in Conditioner’ products. Both suitable for straightening iron.
6. No need to wash out the next day, if need be, simply repeat the restyle again daily.

As a Pre Blowdrying Aid

Protects and softens without changing your normal volume. 

1. To get the full benefit of citrus scents and distribution of the whole formula you must continue to shake immediately before every spray.
2. Spray a minimum of 6 sprays on clean towel dried, damp hair all over from roots to ends. 
3. Blowdry as usual and will suffice as a heat protector. 
4. Don’t be afraid of spraying too much as it is water-based and brushes out easily leaving a shine.
5. No need to wash out the next day, if need be, simply repeat the restyle again daily.

 

Kombucha Shampoo Bar

PLEASE NOTE:  Super Concentrated do not over rub and wear it away

Please allow a 2 week trial to allow Kombucha Shampoo Body bar to remove the top layer of dead skin and refresh the look of your skin.           

HAIR      

1. Wet scalp and hair thoroughly, rinsing off any excess soil or sediment
2. Apply directly onto the head once in 2 sections. Medium 4 sections, long 6 sections
3. Massage in. The first shampoo won’t lather much, it depends on how soiled it is
4. Rinse well and repeat. (You must always do a second shampoo) First time using:  do three shampoos in first wash.
5. Towel or leave dry naturally and comb with a wide toothed comb.
6. The hair will feel crisp when wet and will dry soft.
7. If need be use 1 of our two types of Gypsy Rose Leave-in Conditioners 

 FACE

1. Rinse face with warm water
2. Apply one thin film of soap directly onto your face by wiping the soap once briefly with your hand. DO NOT OVER RUB, or you will waste it.
3. No lather needed – rinse off with warm water. 
4. REPEAT
5. Finally, splash your face with cold water to close your pores. (This acts as a toner/astringent).

BODY

1. Rinse body with warm water
2. Apply one thin film of soap directly onto your body by wiping the soap once briefly with your hand. DO NOT OVER RUB, or you will waste it
3. No lather needed – rinse off with warm water. 
4. REPEAT.

HINTS

• No other cleansing aids are needed when using this product as it effectively removes makeup. However, as the eye area is extremely delicate, we recommend that you use Gypsy Rose Rosehip oil to remove your eye makeup. 
• If you want to use this as a face product in the shower, simply follow the above instructions, and splash your face with cold water after you get out of the shower. 

• SOAP BARS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE STORED IN THE SHOWER IN BETWEEN USES

  Whether it’s shampoo bars  or normal soap bars, the good quality bars made with saponified oils will turn to mush if they’re left permanently damp in a humid shower. Depending on the size of the family, the shampoo bar may get used twice a week, but 3 people having 2 showers a day will use the bar 35 times in a week so please  store out of shower on a rack styled tray. You can store open on a shower rack if shower only used once a day or buy a low cost  timber/bamboo soap tray with a rack or use our tin but pat dry first.
